Obituary of Albert Kaiser

Albert “Al” Kaiser formerly of Garnerville and Tomkins Cove peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 7th. Al was born on May 3rd, 1929 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was raised on a farm in Monsey, New York. In 1948 Al founded Rockland County Body, originally located on Pratt Street, in the village of Haverstraw. He later moved the shop to Route 9W where it remains to this day. Al married the love of his life, Doris, on May 27th, 1950. Al & Doris lived in North Rockland until recently selling their home in 2017. Al was a devoted husband and father. He loved his family. He was a very generous man always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. He loved life, was an avid boater, fisherman, and skier. He also loved to play tennis and golf.  Al is survived by his wife, Doris (Maresco); his three children Donna Pugh (Tom), Al (Gabriella), and Ron; his three grandchildren, Tommy Pugh, Krissy Alfonso (Dennis), Adam Kaiser; and his three great grandchildren Devon, Isabella, and Logan Alfonso.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, New York on Tuesday April 10^th from 2- 5 &  7 – 9 PM  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Al on Wednesday, April 11th at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point, New York with Interment to follow in Ascension Cemetery. The family asks, in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
