Obituary of Gerald Paul Pileggi

Gerald P. "Jerry" Pileggi, of Haverstraw, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2017, with his family by his side. He was 66. Jerry was the fifth and youngest child born to Corrine and Frank Pileggi on July 6, 1951 in Suffern, NY. Jerry lived his entire life in North Rockland. He worked at Lederle for 32 years before retiring in 2001. Jerry was an active and devoted member of the Knights of Columbus Haverstraw Chapter, where he served three terms as Grand Knight. He was also a member of the Haverstraw Elks Lodge 877. Jerry is survived by his brothers: Sisto, Bill (Maria) and Frank (Eileen) Pileggi; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Pileggi; his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Dominick, his sister-in-law Carol (Brophy) Pileggi, and by his parents. Jerry's family will receive family and friends at T.J. MCGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 71 N. Central Highway, GARNERVILLE, on Saturday, September 30 from 7-9PM, and on Sunday, October 1 from 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Jerry on Monday, October 2 at 10AM at St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw, with interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish many donate in Jerry's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN.
