Obituary of George F. Helfrich

George F. Helfrich ("Pop"), of Stony Point, born December 7, 1931, passed away on November 13, 2017. George was a Veteran who proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean war. He worked for the US Postal service for thirty two years and was a security guard for the County of Rockland for thirty one years. He loved crabbing, fishing and sharing his Navy stories. Everyone called George "Pop." He was loved by all. George is survived by his three children: Janet Helfrich, Jennifer (Joseph) Collishaw and Herbert Helfrich; his four grandsons: Joseph, Andrew , Austin and Bradley Collishaw; and one great-grandson, Andrew George. George is predeceased by his wife Janette and his son George.
