Obituary of Antonietta Crispino

Antonietta "Nenay" Crispino earned her wings and entered into eternal rest on February 5, 2018 after a long and valiant battle with ovarian and breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and many lifelong friends. She was 55. Antonietta was born on June 21, 1962 to Maria (Tirino) and Gennaro Crispino in Suffern, NY. She was a lifelong resident of Haverstraw, NY, graduated from North Rockland H.S. and received her Associate's Degree from Rockland Community College. She worked for the NY DMV, Grand Union and A&P at the Corporate Headquarters. Antonietta loved animals and was recently employed as a dog walker for Peanut, King, Jada and Coco. Nenay was predeceased by her father, Gennaro in 1999. She is survived by her loving mother Maria; her brothers: Joseph (Donna) of Port Chester, NY, David (Amber) of Congers; and the lights of her life, her nephews David, Collin and Peanut. She is also survived by her Godparents Vittoria and Vincent Martello, John and Priscilla Tirino, and Angela and Patrick Sullivan, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends too numerous to count. She was the proud Godmother to Katharine Schassler and Collin Crispino. Nenay cherished her time with her family, spending summers at her brother's pool and attending her nephews' sporting events. She loved going to restaurants with her mother and regular Sunday dinners with the family. This past August, she spent an amazing 2 weeks in Italy with her extended family. She had a unique ability to establish and maintain deep, loving and loyal relationships throughout her life. This was evidenced by the outpouring of love and support she received over the course of her courageous 6 year battle. She was the Ultimate Warrior. Antonietta had great faith in God and Jesus and trusted them to bring her safely home. She had an amazing, positive attitude and was passionate about exercising, going to the gym and walking daily. She enjoyed shopping, summers, traveling and spending time with friends. Her taste in music ranged from Led Zeppelin to her favorite artist, Tim McGraw. She lived by the words of his song, "Always Be Humble and Kind." She was truly adored and will be greatly missed by all that were fortunate to know and love her. To Know her was to Love her. Antonietta's family will receive friends and relatives at the T.J. MCGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 133 Broadway, HAVERSTRAW, on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 7-9 PM, and on Friday, February 9 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
